More and more, it’s becoming clear that progressives who had their hearts set on Obama were engaged in a huge act of self-delusion. Once you got past the soaring rhetoric you noticed, if you actually paid attention to what he said, that he largely accepted the conservative storyline, a view of the world, including a mythological history, that bears little resemblance to the facts.

If the citizens and business community could have had this choice, which would they have taken. I guess people would have favored the streetscape on Miracle Mile that would have generated real business and signal a big change in a tired look of the city and not the Museum that will surely generate more and more city spending.

You are welcome to judge for yourself on the rise and path of global warming. It is still hard to dispute.
The evidence has become overwhelming that recent global warming is unprecedented in magnitude and speed and cause (see “Two more independent studies back the Hockey Stick and below). Indeed, as WAG notes, within a few decades, nobody is going to be talking about hockey sticks, they will be talking about right angles or hockey skates (see chart above).

The visitors are not coming because of the absence of the new street-scape. It is the absence of relevant businesses, lack of a friendly environment and a missing leadership in shaping the kinds of business that are needed, and, please, not more tall buildings.
