FLORIDA: Crazy Quilt, Chaotic Covid Vaccine Sign Up Systems

If you are trying to sign up in a single state, county or municipal system you are in for an adventure.

Each hospital system, Jackson Health and Baptist Health, have their own systems.

The State of Florida has it a sign up systems that is widely thought not to work.

Miami-Dade County has also set up it own system also, but to get vaccines in two mass vaccine centers, but not to other sites.

Publix Supermarket pharmacies in some counties have their own independent sign up systems. Some municipalities has set up vaccination centers.

Walmart and Winn-Dixie will start providing vaccines and this will lead to even great confusion.

Now which places get vaccination supplies and in what order. The public doesn’t know. Vaccinations in supermarket pharmacies will demand clean centers and many more capable staff.

Some of these places appear to be marketing programs for the supermarkets and not for the promotion of good public health.
