Thank You Marvin Ross Friedman for your letter on “Sliming Coral Gables”

Mr. Friedman’s letter to the editor of the Miami Herald on Friday, to me, says much about the distance between government and citizens in Coral Gables.

He refers to

…the hideous fuchsia-colored plastic snails littering our community…

and wonders

How do these ghastly things promote [environmental] sustainability?

and, cogently,

If a Coral Gables resident painted his house the color of those gastropods, he would swiftly receive a summons from the authorities.
